Silver Springs man accused of selling marijuana to two teenagers

posted by Julia Ferrini in Wyoming County, crime, news, Silver Springs, Warsaw.

Three males are facing drug charges following an incident in the Village of Silver Springs park.

Austin C. Romanelli, 20, of Silver Springs, and two male youths – a 16- and an 18-year-old – were all charged with unlawful possession of marijuana following an investigation at the Village park.

Due to their ages, two teens' names are not being released, officials say.

Romanelli was also charged with criminal sale of marijuana in the second degree (sale of marijuana to a person under 18 years old), a Class D felony.

Wyoming County Sheriff’s deputies say the three suspects were found near the pavilion and in possession of marijuana. Additionally, Romanelli is accused of providing the drug to the two younger males.

Both youths were released to their parents.

Romanelli was arraigned in the Village of Warsaw Court where he was put in Wyoming County Jail in lieu of $500 cash bail or $2,500 bond.

He is due in the Village of Silver Springs Court Sept. 18.
